I must say that was a good fight. Andy did an amazing job keeping the constant pressure on Yodsanklai, and by the end, not giving him the space to generate those infamous left swing kicks. Most fighters succumb to the impact of Yod's kicks but Souwer did not. As my friend once said: "I think he's a cyborg or something." I think so too. As for Yodsanklai, I can't say I was surprised. I thought that a tough as hell, combo throwing, pressure fighter would be a competitive fight for Yod, and I was right. Yod threw a lot of counters in the beginning of the fight and many landed but eventually was overwhelmed by the constant pressure. He also didn't do that great in the clinch which was surprising since he's Thai, but that's probably because of Andy's relentless knee thrusts to his legs. Seeing that he's only 22, he'll be back.
My Score Card
1st Round: Yodsanklai
2nd Round: Draw
3rd Round: Andy
Extra Round: err. Andy.
