
Day of Fight:
Monday September 08 2008,
Feeling good and ready to rock a week leading up to the fight. I felt prepared both mentally and physically. I physically peaked on Friday with my final trianing session in Thailand; the session lasted about an hour and consisted of 15minuite skipping with the heavy rope, intense stretching, and 5 vigorous rounds with Kru Pi Kobb. 2 day before the fight I kept myself busy with reading and spending time with the village locals. Alot of sleeping as well to ensure I recovered 100%. I tried not to think about the fight except for in the morning and night when I did a bit mental imagery drills. The day of the fight before leaving for the stadium, I warmed up with 15minutes of dynamic stretching in my room. I was the 6th fight on the card. My fight was underway at around 11:00pm. I took this fight and the training for it very seriously because it marked the end of my training/fighting in Thailand. Always good to end off on a good note. But also, i told myself regardless of the results, I would leave Thailand with my chin up and be greatful for the life experiances.
