on-Clinching

It is to your benefit, if you have not yet already, to acquire a solid clinch game. It is in the clinch where most of the points are scored, and where most of the damage is delivered.

Clinch training in Thailand constitutes for half of the Thai's training. The Thais train the clinch in a practical manner; it is trained in Thailand through competitive clinch sparring. Without much theoretical breakdown and technical drills, this makes it very difficult for foreigners who often do not stay long enough to truly understand and appreciate this area of muay thai.

If you want to better your clinching you can,

1. Find a knowledgeable instructor to educate you (outside of Thailand this can be quite challenging).

2. Move to Thailand for an extended period of time and consistently engage in clinching with the Thais.

3. Make use of clinching content from various media sources.
