Have been sitting on the train for 4 hours already. Heading toward Bangkok for a night before departing to Vietnam on Sunday. Estimated time of arrival in Bangkok, 5am on Sat Feb. 6/10.Chiang Mai was not a letdown. Despite being sick for most of my stay in Chiang Mai, Madam and a few other town locals made my stay a positive one. I went to see elephants, rafting (almost died and definately broke my camera!), visited multiple temples, met some great people, enjoyed 100 baht/hr massages almost every other day, and brought my Thai speaking to the next level. I want to give a big thanks again to those in Chiang Mai that took me in as one of their own, especially to Madam who I have already begun to miss.
My time in Thailand seems to have been cut a little short. My grandma has just arrived in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and it looks like I'll bee joining her on the 7th of Feb. Just in time for Vietnam's biggest holiday, New Years. It's gonna be wild. Partying with my grandma that is. :-0
